Eliza Ruffle - Piano

A fun classical concert by prize-winning pianist Eliza Ruffle who will accompany the music with stories about the composers.

 Eliza Ruffle is twelve years old. She has won many prestigious piano competitions, including the top three prizes at the 2014, 2015, and 2016 Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition; 1st prize in the 24th Young Musician International Competition Citta Di Barletta, Italy; First prize for the Young Pianist of the North Piano competition under-12 s in Newcastle in the UK; Second prize at the Valletta International Piano Competition in Malta in 2015; the Absolute first prize at the 10th of Mozart International Piano Competition in Italy in 2015; Absolut First Prize (100/100) and Vienna Grand Prize Virtuoso plus Best Khachaturian Performance Special Prize in 2015; First Prize Winner of the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition Spring 2016 in New York. She was also awarded distinction prizes at the 23rd and 24th Chopin Youth Piano Competition in Szafarnia, Poland.

During the past winter, Eliza won four first prizes at two music festivals in London. Eliza has received many invitations to play in USA, Europe and Asia in recent years, including at St. Paul Cathedral. Valletta, Malta (2012), Beethoven Haus in Bonn, Germany (2013), the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC on August 1st and 2nd (2013), the Metallener Saal, Musikverein, Vienna (2015), the Oriental Art Center in Shanghai in September 2013 and 2014 and finally, twice, at the Carnegie Hall New York in 2016 and 2017.

When Eliza is not playing piano, she enjoys reading adventure stories, making her own science experiments, and eating sweet things…
