What is this blog here for?

I assume that because you’re reading this, you’re not in a church meeting (if you are in church then, well I suppose this is better than just playing spider solitaire, but perhaps you ought to look up now and read this later). I assume that because you’re reading this, you’re not in a church meeting (if you are in church then, well I suppose this is better than just playing spider solitaire, but perhaps you ought to look up now and read this later). That’s how it is with all of us; even people like me who spend a lot of time in church meetings. Most of our lives are spent outside of church meetings.

The purpose of this blog is to help a bit with that part of life; the big part. It’s meant to offer a few thoughts that may help us to think as disciples of Jesus in every day life. Now doubtless there will be some things on here which will be just about stuff that happens as part of church meetings. But even those things are meant to help us to be every day Christians, not experts at putting on the right Sunday face.

Like blogs in general, this is meant to be a conversation. It’s not meant to be the last word on anything: we, the Christ Church bloggers team, reserve the right to get all sorts of things wrong. It’s for throwing some ideas up in the air which we can chew over and respond to. And that only works if people actually respond. So please talk about things that come up here with us on Sundays or at other times. Feel free to leave comments. And if you’re still reading this in a church meeting, stop now and pray something.
